Lublin, the year is 1949. The aroma of freshly baked cebularz floats above the city, the streets are filled with happy hustle and bustle. Lubliners spend their free time on social gatherings, their hearts are filled with joy that the city is coming back to life. At the heart of these events is Teatr Miejski which has just officially reopened. The reopening of the theatre marked a new chapter in the lives of the residents, because Peowiaków street started filling with the aroma of coffee freshly ground by the mysterious Mr Widelski. A sign “Palarnia Kawy” was hung above the door and despise its small size, the establishment attracted famous actors and directors as well as curious people who queued just to try try real, but difficult to obtain coffee. On this special night, Cafe Teatralna will tell you about the work of the first barista and introduce famous guests of the cafe. We will also go back in time to the era of a PRL dance party. Lights will switch on, music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s will sound from the loudspeakers and the staff, as if straight from PRL, will serve Teatralna delicacies. The fun will last until the wee hours.
