This year’s 15th anniversary of Zygmunt Kałużyński’s death as well as the recent 100th anniversary of his birthday are an excellent opportunity to recall this acclaimed Polish film critic, TV reporter and publicist. Fewer and fewer people remember that Kałużyński was born, raised and completed his matura exam in Lublin. He also lived here during the German occupation and made his first steps as a journalist. The walk has two aims. First of all, to recall the places, events and anecdotes from Kałużyński’s Lublin biography. Secondly, to restore the memory of places that no longer exist on Lublin’s map and that are intrinsically connected to Zygmunt Kałużyński’s life in Lublin, while at the same time remaining an important part of the city’s inter-war history. The route of the walk is 3 km long.
