Folk City, or back to the roots

The city emerged from the village, from its potential and resources. Through the event called “Folk City, or back to the roots” we want to pay tribute to folk culture without which the urban culture would not exist and without which we cannot imagine the city.  We wat to encurage the audiences to build urban culture  drawing from the richness of cultural traditions in conjunction with modern artistic message.

All handicrafts workshop will be conducted by Klub Kobiet Aktywnych z Radecznicy (Club of Active Women from Radecznica) and include :

Embroidery Workshop- participants will learn traditional methods of embellishing  fabrics and will feel like village artists.

Tissue Paper Workshop –  participants will learn methods and techniques of making flowers, cenerpieces and other compositions of crepe paper.

Straw Weaving Workshop – participants will learn to make everyday items out of straw.
