This year, we would like to invite everyone to join us in improvised dancing, music and singing. We want to familiarize Lubliners with two contemporary postmodernist dance forms – movement improvisation and body symbolism and contact improvisation.
We will begin the evening with a demonstration of improvisations in Po Farze Square. Then we will move to Pracownia Działań Twórczych FaraRaRa where we will take part in a Concert of Singing Bowls. Then we will dance, play and sing the rest of the night away until the last person is left standing.
The concert of crystal singing bowls
The bowls are made of pure quartz (around 98%). The sound is made using a stick – by hitting but mostly rubbing the bowls. The vibrations might be so strong that holding an open palm even 10 cm away from the bowl, we will feel a tingly sensation.
According to legends, the crystal bowls were known in Atlantis, where is was discovered that the combination of cruystals and specific kinds of sand results in a material that can produce very clean sounds and use it for healing. The state of deep relaxation that we reach during crytal bowl concerts and sound massages leads us to experience a deep sense of calm.
Everyone wishing to take part in impropvisation and the concert in FaraRaRa is asked to wear loose clothing, bring shoes to change into and not consume alhol (and other mixtures altering consciousness ) before and during the event.
