We will travel back in time. “Partyzant” Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts’ Association, “Belriguardo” Old Dance Ensemble and the Lublin Open Air Village Museum will transform Kowalska Street into a place out of 20ss/30s. Courtesy of artists from “Piękno Panie” independent project group, signboards and widow shops will change, we will have mood lighting and vintage cars. A unique setting for a retro dance party and other things.
“Belriguardo” Old Dance Ensemble and the Lublin Open Air Village Museum will invite us to dance in colourful lights to the tune of pre-war hits. We will revive a pre-war town. Revues will remind us that Eugeniusz Bodo debuted here and that Hanka Ordonówna performed in “Wesoły Ul” Theatre in Lublin. Special attraction is a century-old Victorian carousel that was featured in Jan Jakub Kolski’s film “The heart and the Sweetheart”, an ambassador rode it and now it will launch especially for us. We will be introduced into retro mood courtesy of the Lublin’s Music Theatre that will perform a concert “I know a street in Lublin…”, to be followed by The Mark Shepherd’s Swing Quartet. We will have a tombola and a chance to win, e.g. a stylized photo session at Roman Kravchenko’s studio. Contemporary Dance Group from the University of Technology will present Swing City- parts of a show that perfectly represents the 20s. Improvisers like Innymi Słowy Impro Theatre will make sure we have fun on our retro-style street.
