Open call for Night of Culture 2017 projects now ongoing

On the night of 3rd to 4th June we will enjoy Night of Culture for the 11th time. 700th anniversary of founding Lublin is an excellent opportunity to reexamine our city. We want to encourage joint activities thanks to which we will be able to celebrate this magnificent anniversary even more fully, by discovering a completely new dimension of Lublin.   The main theme of this year’s edition will be “city-spacetime”.  We invite you to co-create this special edition of  Night of Culture, institutions, NGOs and companies as well as individuals.

For the past eleven years, we have been searching for the unknowns. Sometimes we look for cities where the data are time and space, other times we want to look for sites, other times we look for time. Night of Culture is a very special Theory of Relativity that alters the perception of time and space. The city becomes the fifth dimension and thanks to that we can observe hitherto unseen space-time curves and phenomena that elude all earlier theories.

The open call for project proposals stars today. We are waiting for your submissions until 5 March 2017 (inclusive). You can submit your ideas using an online application form available here.

On 17 February, Night of Culture was awarded the Certificate of the Polish Tourist Organization for the Best Tourism Product of the Year 2016.
