Monodrama based on the life of the famous Nobel Laureate, Maria Curie-Skłodowska.
It is the year 1911. Maria receives the second Nobel Prize for the separation of clean radium. In the meantime, the French press publishes news about her romance with the scientist Paul Langvin, whch results in a scandal. Outraged Parisians gather in front of her house, calling her names and breaking windows. The Nobel Committee sends Maria a letter asking her to withdraw from the award ceremony in view of the current situation. This is the context in which we meet the protagonist. She’s sad and lonely but at the same time she is proud and knows her own worth. Dedication to work ends up affecting her health. Anemia caused by radiation sickness sucks out the rest of her strength. Bedridden Maria reminisces about her past behind drawn curtains.
