 Reading stage adaptation of Marcin Wroński’s novel under the same title. Lublin, September 1945. Inspector Maciejewski is imprisoned in the Lublin castle. He’s subject to merciless interrogations aiming to force confessions in line with Security Service’s expectations out of him. The man is at his limit, but even so he tries to keep his dignity. You can imagine his surprise when he learns that he might get released. Of course, not for free. Maciejewski is asked to solve the murder  of a Jew suspected of collaborating with the Security Service. The ex-inspector doesn’t realise just yet that this case is much more complex than it appears. What’s more, he has to face a completely new reality. New Poland is a mysterious and dangerous place. Your allies can unexpectedly beceome your mortal enemies, so there is no one to trust except yourself.

“The private investigation of insepctor Maciejewski”concerns the stage adaptation and dramatisation of Wroński’s novel “Next Tuesday’s Pogrom” and presenting it at Lublin’s Days in Wrocław during the ECC 2016 cultural partnership event. Wroński’s novel was hailed the best crime novel of 2014 (he received all the important awards for the genre, such as The High Calibre Award and The High Calibre Readers’ Award a the  International Crime and Mystery  Festival in Wrocław as well as “Kryminalna Piła” Award. The French publisher ActesSud from Paris is among several publishers interested in translating the novel.

Petite, tu grandiras… (Little Girl You Will Grow Up…)

A pantomine that deals with the position and condition of women in the modern western world. It follows the story of a little girl (the eponymous Petite).Petite can be any European girl or woman. It is a story about life and about growing up in western Europe. Petite is looking for her place in the world.  She has painful encounters and gets hurt, experiences joys and sorrows, delight and misunderstadings. Over time, she becomes what society wants her to be.
The play shows every day life with all the little things and shows how a child gradually grows into a woman.
