Story: Thomas is to direct a play adapted from a 19th century novel, Venus in furs. For the longest time he has been trying to find the right actress but to no avail, none of the candidates fit the role of a woman who makes a deal with a man in order to turn him into a slave. Auditions are coming to an end, the director starts resignedly headig out when Vanda runs into the theatre. She seems impudent, uneducated, desperate, unperpared. She’s confdent, a little vulgar. She tries to convince the director to let her read a part. When Thomas reluctantly agrees and begins playing the part of her obedient partner, Vanda transforms completely. They begin a game in which the border between reality and fiction becomes blurred.
“Ms Hanka Investigates” adapted from the novel by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicza “Pamiętnik pani Hanki” (Ms Hanka’s Diary)
It is a monodrama by a 3rd year student at the Qurtyna School. It is a sort of a “document” on the psychology and behaviour of women. It is surprising and honest. The play premiered in February 2016.
