An encounter with the Japanese of paper folding. Origami – folding paper is charming in its simplicity and uniqueness. It teaches patience and precision and shows how an ordinary piece of paper can transform into a miniature work of art. Instructor: Marcin Struski

Floral Workshop – weaving wreaths

To enter the joyous mood of Night of Culture, join us for wreath weaving workshop. The participants will learn how to weave wreaths using live flowers and plants. The workshop will be conducted by experienced florists.  This workshop is for all ages. Children should attend with a guardian.

TwojRobot.pl – A night of Robo attractions. The most inventive robots built out of lego blocks  will clash in a nighttime battle. Compete against a selected robotic opponent and win an award. Children are invited to build the robots, solve robotic riddles and take part in fortunetelling using a magical electro ball.

Art Bike -art on wheels/ The spider web of dreams – origina workshop

The task of the participants will be to create a spider web out of a rope. The central point of the web/ the spider will be Art Bike. The web’s dimatere is to be 5-10 metres. After completing the spider web, children will make small mascots or spiders and place them on the spider web. The task will be to come up with the biggest dream the character they created is likely to have or to write down their own dreams that will put on the spider web with the character. 19:00-23:00 Porcelain Jewellery – creating custom jewellery, for instance a necklace with your fingerprints. Every participant will have an opportunity to leave a fingerprint or other personal trace on porcelain. All creations will be signed to identify the recipient and then kilned in a cermic furnace.

Let’s build a cardboard city! This workshop is for children and parents, join our efforts to build large-format cardboard objects. We will create small buildings and huge furniture, incredible creatures and fantastical plants.

Lublin Panorama  – art project for Lubliners and an exhibition “Impressions about forgotten places in Lublin” by art students from Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin. A huge colouring page presenting Lublin panorama will be hung, for instance on a fence. You are free to colour it as you wish using watercolours, felt-tip pens etc. The exhibition presents the students’ take on selected locations around Lublin.

Saint John Cantius’ Brotherhood of the Rooster.  “Lublin Brethren” historical camp will stand on Lublin Castle Błonia. The visitors will be transported to old Lublin, complete with typical clothes, items, food and music from various eras and brethren traditions. We will also have military drills, era costumes and armours, handicrafts, historical games and quill writing. The Brethren Stage will, in turn, present an interactive music and  a stage play relating to the history of Lublin.
